IIMA Ventures expanded to Guwahati in 2021 through the Assam Agribusiness Growth Lab Program (AAGL), a comprehensive 4-year initiative aimed at fostering agri-business entrepreneurship, done in collaboration with APART (Government of Assam) and the World Bank. Though currently underserved, the North East region of India possesses immense potential for startup entrepreneurship, particularly in domains such as agriculture, food, crafts, and tourism, by leveraging the power of technology. With the launch of the AAGL program IIMA Ventures aims to accelerate atleast 100 startups across the 4 years, thus catalyzing startup entrepreneurship in the North East.
