About the Program

AI Summer Residency is a high-intensity, 4-6 week in-residence program at IIM Ahmedabad Campus for exceptional STEM undergraduates who are serious about building AI-first use cases/solutions. Designed and delivered by IIMA Ventures and the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence, IIM Ahmedabad, the residency combines the deep-work, zero-distraction energy of an AI lab with the rigor of a top-tier accelerator. Through deep work sprints, hands-on technical guidance, and structured exposure to real users, the residency helps you move beyond hackathon demos and classroom projects to build for use-cases that can survive outside campus.

The Residency Journey

– Meet other serious builders and form complementary teams.
– Explore multiple whitespaces, evaluate possible use-cases, and kill weak ideas fast.
– Walk out with a sharp problem, a clear user, and a “why now” that stands up to questioning.

– Design and build an MVP in weeks, not months.
– Work with mentors on LLM Ops, vector DBs, agentic workflows, and infra trade-offs.

– Run validation sprints and track real usage.
– Convert your progress into sharp pitches and comprehensive data rooms.
– Present at use case / concept Showcase with feedback from founders, corporates and people at IIMA Ventures.
